Abstract: This thesis presents the findings of a research of urban and peri-urban household gardens conducted in April and May of 2014. The research found that respondents’ perceptions about climate change are diverse. The study identified the different species of crops and plants that garden owners cultivated and which crops and plants garden owners observed as being resilient to the impacts of climate change and extreme weather events.
