Abstract: This thesis was designed to investigate the causes and impacts of inefficient energy supply in Solomon Islands a case of the sole electricity power provider in the country the Solomon Islands Electricity Authority. The study argues that the inefficient energy supply in the Solomon Islands is caused by a multiple dimensional forces at the general and task environment including political, economic, sociocultural, technological and organizational (PESTO) and at government, suppliers, customers and employees level.
