Abstract: As most floral studies conducted in Fiji have been qualitative, very little is known about the temporal changes in altitudinal tree species composition and distribution. The current study surveyed the flora of Mt. Korobaba, in the province of Rewa, Viti Levu, along an altitudinal gradient using a selective sampling method, approximately relocating altitudinal sampling plots from a similar study carried out 30 years earlier. The purpose was to examine the changes in the vegetation and flora over a temporal time scale. To answer this, the study was divided into two main parts; familiarization with the flora and vegetation structure and the ecological component.
