Abstract: Land suitability and strategic planning for agroforestry crop interventions are the main pillars of food security and livelihood improvement in the Pacific community. Not all land is suitable for all agricultural purposes, let alone, to meet a nations agricultural product demands. This research studies the agricultural landscapes of Sigatoka Valley area which covers over 200,000 hectares of available agricultural land, with objectives to spatially model land suitability for seven agroforestry tree crops (Breadfruit, Cutnut, Lemon, Chestnut, Tropical Almond, Sandalwood, and Ipil) based on cultivation criteria from published literature. This research will also evaluates relative suitability of the land in Sigatoka Valley for these seven crops using GIS modelling.
