Abstract: Population modeling has been a major topic of interest on a lot of fronts including, human and non - human population. This is because it is vital to identify and use the most accurate population projection technique available to make forecasts of future population. In this thesis, a number of forecasting models are developed and compared for the purpose of identifying the best projection of Fiji population. Among these is the Simple Linear Regression (SLR) method, where the previous year’s population is used to project a year’s population.
