Two polymers evidently explored extensively in this field are Poly(butylene succinate) [PBS] and Poly(ε-caprolactone) [PCL]. However, certain characteristics have limit these polymers applications. These polymers need to be modified to increase their efficacy. Therefore, this research was undertaken to develop and characterize two binary blend systems consisting of the two biodegradable polymers, PBS and PCL, blended with Pine resin extracted from the species Pinus Caribaea-Hondurensis. The new blend systems were analysed for miscibility, tensile properties and enzymatic degradation characteristics.
